The Senior Manager, Project Analysis will oversee the project analysis function, taking a visible and proactive approach to delivery of project and business analysis activities for multiple physical and digital infrastructure projects. The position will lead a team of highly skilled project analysts and will contribute to the assessment and analysis of project proposals, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments, requirements management and evaluating project performance through data driven insights to ensure alignment with business objectives and efficient use of resources.
The role reports to the Director, Portfolio Delivery and provides strategic leadership and expert advice to leaders and business owners on technical solutions, project and business analysis best practice and successful project delivery.
As a Senior Manager, Project Analysis, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members in delivering strategic physical infrastructure and digital initiatives, ensuring their growth and development.
- Develop long-term strategies to support project prioritisation based on business needs and resource availability. Work closely with delivery teams on the allocation of resources based on strategic priorities.
- Proactively evaluate and improve the performance of your team’s analysis capabilities
- Contribute to, and assist project delivery teams to develop delivery frameworks for managing multiple projects simultaneously, leading best practices and standard methodology adoption
- Overcome resistance to change and manage complex stakeholder issues. Engage senior leaders to understand their specific product requirements and work with leaders to design and implement solutions
- Establish long-term partnerships with leaders, act as a trusted advisor for the University’s product suite, change direction in alignment with learnings and offer expert solutions and strategies that best serve the area’s needs
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Experience in leading teams by creating brave, inclusive, transparent, engaged, and inspiring culture
- Experience developing talent through building high performing teams and realising potential in individuals
- Proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience
- Extensive experience in establishing managing and improving project and/or business analysis practices in a digital or physical environment
- Extensive experience and sound knowledge of project management and analysis principles
- Extensive experience practicing project/business analysis, in a physical or digital development environment, from project inception to post-implementation support.
- Extensive experience working with senior stakeholders to solve abstract business problems.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of contemporary discipline concepts and strategies and the capacity to adapt and implement these for the benefit of an organisation
