About the role:

As the Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering key content projects to support faculty-based research marketing campaigns and initiatives. You will ideate, develop, and produce both emotive and rational content to build Deakin’s research and innovation brand, drive research impact and support research growth.

Utilising expert project management skills, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of producing content and assets, working with internal and external research stakeholders to ensure impactful and accurate collateral.

Reporting to the Partner, Faculty Research Marketing, you will be responsible to develop, write, edit, produce, and publish multimedia and video content to support Research stories, coverage of research events, develop printed and digital collateral, event flyers for a range of assets including website, social media, and blogs.


As a Digital Content Producer, you will:

  • Understand and integrate perspectives held within different areas of the University and put plans in place to build collaboration, mutually beneficial ethical alliances and develop common goals
  • Strive for excellence and consult regularly with stakeholders to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required.
  • Challenge existing processes by formulating creative and inclusive alternative solutions and benefits.
  • Promote solutions to modernise work practices and ensure alignment with Deakin’s strategic direction.
  • Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of potential students, stakeholders or key and influential individuals.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. (Marketing, Journalism, media, public relations, advertising)
  • Experience in developing, reviewing and recommending improvements to impactful content to campaigns and marketing initiatives, including video, written audio and visual assets.
  • Experience working as a copywriter or multimedia content producer in a large organisation or digital agency.
  • Experience in ensuring best-practice channel specific creative application.
  • Experience in managing large content projects, working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to balance priorities and resources.
  • Experience in the management of social media channels.
