About the role:
As the Centre Manager, you will provide visible leadership of a team of professionals and will be responsible for the achievement of results for the team’s services and activities. You will manage the integration of activities within a function and collaborate across multiple practices and processes to achieve the engagement of a network of stakeholders with different contributions.
You will be actively involved in and concerned with the influencing of others to achieve outcomes in alignment with university strategies and goals and drives changes which improve operational policies, practices and methods.
The Centre Manager reports to the Director, Campus Experience and provides sound advice and recommendations to senior leaders on the professional practice and discipline of venue operations and management.
As a Centre Manager, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in the provision of high-quality customer service, ensuring their growth and development.
- Manage the operations of the university's corporate venues, ensuring they are run efficiently and effectively are well-maintained, safe, and meet the necessary compliance standards, including health, safety, and accessibility requirements
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers (e.g., catering, AV, cleaning services) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Establish long-term partnerships with leaders, act as a trusted advisor, change direction in alignment with learnings and offer expert solutions and strategies that best serve the area’s needs
- Develop, monitor and manage the budget for corporate venues, ensuring revenue targets are met and costs are controlled.
