As a Technical Officer, Learning Environments, you will:
- Provide a range of administrative services to Deakin’s online Learning Management systems for SEBE units and courses.
- Develop and maintain effective online learning environments that are accessible, reliable and support learning.
- Provide advise support and assistance on learning environments and technologies to all staff users in the Faculty.
- Analyse and report on the use of digital learning technologies to inform teaching and learning approaches.
- Introduce innovation to learning environments and investigate new and emerging learning technologies and approaches to ensure a student-centred experience.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree in IT with subsequent relevant experience; or Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in providing user support on technologies and environments.
- Ability to investigate and resolve technical problems and issues in short timeframes and under pressure.
- Experience with learning management systems or similar IT systems and ability to investigate emerging technologies.
