Position Overview
The Coordinator, School Services is responsible for coordinating administrative support and school services to enable the delivery of faculty outcomes and ensure effective and efficient operations and resource management in the school. Coordinates school activities though a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with University procedures, supporting delivery and management of effective, high-quality services across the Deakin Business School. Provides support to the School Manager, Discipline Group Chairs, Theme and Course Directors. Acts as a key liaison and escalation point for enquiries. Coordinates school and discipline related projects and activities.

As a Coordinator, School Services, you will:
- Develop the team’s key capabilities and setting MYPerformance goals to align with individual development and School strategic initiatives
- Facilitate training and coaching of school administrators to ensure a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Respond to enquiries accurately and in a timely manner and handle confidential information sensitively, to facilitate effective communication flow between academic staff and professional staff; contact points across the Faculty and University and external partners
- Coordinate support and process across a variety of administrative activities, including but not limited to fixed-term staff contract initiation and renewal; sessional staff contract initiation; major events support; purchasing and invoicing; academic workload allocation; timetabling; meeting scheduling and room bookings; data entry for eVALUate; management of missing results, and exams; and coordination of diaries
- Distil the core issues from complex information and draw accurate conclusions and present logical arguments that address the core issues
- Condense complex information and next steps into simple concise terms that others can understand
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.(insert discipline experience)
