Job Overview

As a member of the Learning Design Team, Deakin Learning Futures (DLF), the Learning Designer, Deakin Lancaster Indonesia (DLI) role focuses on the design of learning activities and programs of study across units and courses to build towards achievement of course learning outcomes at our Deakin Lancaster Indonesia campus

 

As a Learning Designer, Deakin Lancaster Indonesia, you will:

  • Utilise and advise on learning design principles and practices to plan and develop engaging accessible and inclusive learning materials and activities in collaboration with teaching teams
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions to learning design challenges based on stakeholder needs and the localised context of Deakin Lancaster Indonesia
  • Design authentic, accessible and inclusive assessment tasks with teaching teams that promote student engagement, evidence of learning outcomes and develop students’ evaluative judgement
  • Use co-design and innovation principles to analyse and adapt work processes and practices in collaboration with team members, a range of colleagues and communities across the University, Lancaster University and Deakin Lancaster Indonesia
  • Systematically plan, prioritise, document and report on work tasks and projects in collaboration with supervisors and team members to support team communications, reporting and development of processes

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in educational or technical fields, or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of current evidence base and standards in learning design and Australian higher education qualification frameworks
  • Extensive experience designing and developing appropriate methods and materials for teaching, learning and assessing in diverse disciplines
