About the role:

The Assistant, Events is responsible for coordinating and assisting with conferences and events both onsite at Waurn Ponds Estate and other locations on campus.

The position reports to the Senior Officer, Sales and Events, Waurn Ponds Estate and works closely with all staff within the Campus Experience team.

As an Assistant, Events you will:

  • Provide event coordination including client engagement and relationship building, administration, bookings, contracts and data maintenance.
  • Consult with clientele and Estate staff to resolve any issues, complaints, and/or problems to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction and ensure continuous quality improvement initiatives to minimise and mitigate any future issues.
  • Establish return business through the preparation and presentation of effective proposals and the generation and management of leads to ensure market penetration for the Estate.
  • Produce and export timely and accurate reports, track relationships and maintain contact details and ensure the accuracy of data
  • Provision of exceptional customer service in the organisation of events and at the attendance of events to ensure the needs and expectations of stakeholders are met and attendees have an excellent experience.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post- certificate relevant work experience.
  • Completion of a Post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant experience and on the job training; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in events/projects team
