The Faculty of Arts and Education is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creating and social development and fostering cutting-edge research and discovery. The School of Education places high emphasis on research that makes a difference and is solution-led. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice.

As a Research Fellow, you will:

  • Producing research in high quality journals through team-based collaboration.
  • Conducting rigorous research to explore critical issues in initial teacher education, such as curriculum innovation, pedagogy, assessment, and teacher performance.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of innovative teacher education programs by incorporating research evidence into curriculum design and teaching methodologies.
  • Contributing to the refinement of research and ethics applications that further the exploratory ITE work of the School of Education

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
  • Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications
  • Success in obtaining external research funding.
  • Ability to contribute to communities through research.
  • Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
