The newly established Digital and Infrastructure team is searching for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead our software engineering practice into its next chapter. What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing team of engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Support the team through an exciting period of evolution, leveraging new technologies and platforms to shape and modernise software engineering practices in alignment with the university's long-term vision, while bringing your unique leadership style and perspective to the journey.
- Develop and implement strategic software solutions that support Deakin’s long-term goals and customer-centric approach, while building strong partnerships with stakeholders across the university to ensure impactful delivery.
- Champion best practices in quality, security, and scalability throughout the software lifecycle.
About You:
- Extensive experience leading software engineering teams and managing large-scale resources, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
- Deep knowledge of modern software platforms, frameworks, and hybrid technologies, with the ability to guide teams through technological transformation and innovation.
- A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to inspire, coach, and mentor teams, fostering a high-performance and purpose-driven culture.
- A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision and tactical execution to enable a secure, agile, and scalable digital foundation.
