  • ​​Level A $80,065 - $107,633​ + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Life & Environmental Sciences.  

This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching, and a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.  

 As an Associate Lecturer, Life & Environmental Sciences, Education-focused, you will: 

  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and deliver learning materials and activities, guided by the Unit Chair. 

  • Enhance the student learning experience and improve learning outcomes through effective teaching strategies. 

  • Work with team leaders to create and refine assessment tasks and rubrics. 

  • Provide clear assessment criteria and offer timely feedback to learners to demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes. 

  • Focus primarily on teaching, learning, and associated service activities to support the academic program.  

 To be successful, you’ll have:  

  •  Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning 

  •  Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to deliver and improve student success and engagement  

  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience 

  • Emerging record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate or undergraduate programs 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
