As a Platform Developer (Salesforce), you will provide delivery of all facets of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) in our strategic project and DevOps teams, with respect to the Platform Development functions, to ensure the university’s Salesforce platform is optimised to deliver appropriate business outcomes. This role also has key enabling responsibilities to our central Digital Platform practices, such as Automation, DevOps, Architecture, Testing and Innovation activities.

As a Platform Developer, you will:

• Undertake the design, development, configuration, testing and support of Deakin’s enterprise Salesforce platform, including fixes to technical problems, technical specifications for new services, implementation of changes and the provision of operational support to a range of platforms
• Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
• Ensure all solutions and applications through which the university engages directly with stakeholders are appropriately integrated, designed, developed, optimised and maintained to deliver appropriate business outcomes and superior digital experiences
• Establish and demonstrate a high level of learning, energy and commitment and maintain personal integrity and make decisions consistent with University values
• Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress

 To be successful, you’ll have:

• Appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent
• Experience in platform development in large hybrid IT environment
• Experience configuring and developing on platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform
• Salesforce certifications or relevant Salesforce experience
