We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Development, who will play a pivotal role in driving Business Development outcomes for Deakin University. Collaboration will be integral to the success of Business Development, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives. You will work directly with researchers and industry to seek future funding opportunities.
As an Associate Director, Business Development, you will:
- Foster interdisciplinary teams by mentoring and inspiring a team of skilled professionals, creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Identify new avenues for research and research opportunities for external funding
- Identify and leverage industry partnerships
- Develop strategy and alignment with the guiding plan
- Position the University as a leader and partner of choice for translation focussed research for industry and not-for-profit partners to maximise research outcomes and to meet the needs of key industries and the community
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate studies, MBA, or equivalent experience
- Extensive stakeholder management experience, ideally within the health sector
- Extensive experience identifying and obtaining external research funding
- Highly developed consulting, interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
- High level project management, research and report writing skills
