About the role:

The Disability Liaison Officer is responsible to support the university community to be more inclusive of and provide reasonable adjustments for students when the impacts of disability, health or mental health condition affect their access to education.

As a Disability Liaison Officer, you will:

  • Work with students and the university to identify and implement relevant adjustments and services for students with disability.
  • Develop and contribute to the development of resources and advice to build capacity of the university community to include people with disability in education and university life.
  • Investigate and probe for the facts and identify relevant solutions and select the most appropriate from the range of alternatives
  • Seek feedback from clients regarding their satisfaction and perspective with support services received, respond to feedback with openness and transparency and seek to identify ways to better service the customer
  • Provide ethical advice to clients and address underlying issues, promoting value-adding insights and recommendations.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and partners to achieve appropriate outcomes
