The Faculty of Arts and Education is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-world impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Education.
The role will lead unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG initial teacher education programs to meet industry standards and continuously improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will play an important role in meeting the new core curriculum for initial teacher education in relation to the brain and learning. As such, the position will require excellent knowledge and scholarly practice related to the neurobiology of learning to enable the successful applicant to initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality, teaching and research/scholarship in undergraduate and postgraduate units related to the brain and learning.
This position is suited to a person with an excellent record and passion for scholarly learning and teaching and a keen interest in exploring and building on new areas of education development and contribution to community engagement through teaching and employability.

Excellent knowledge of initial teacher education and the professional standards that inform programs, including the core curriculum and, in particular, the brain and learning.
