In this dynamic role within the Faculty of Business and Law, you’ll be responsible for establishing and managing strategic partnerships that enhance Deakin’s engagement with industry, alumni, and community stakeholders. You’ll coordinate projects, events, and initiatives that elevate brand awareness, support student and graduate outcomes, and contribute to the faculty’s strategic goals. As a Coordinator, Partnerships, you will:
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders and individuals within industry and alumni to foster support including but not limited to networking, mentoring, and career opportunities for students and graduates, research opportunities and funding.
- Assess and develop projects initiated by academic staff to determine whether they have sufficient value for Faculties and Schools, consistent with its strategic aims.
- Develop and manage projects, events and activities to increase industry engagement, including responsibility for delivery within budget.
- Plan and execute engagement activities including the creation of documentation to support engagement activities.
- Identify opportunities for continued development and promotion of the Deakin brand in industry.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent
- Experience in a community engagement or public relations role
- Well-developed business and community networks
- Experience developing relationships and networks with government, industry and non-government organisations and providers
- Experience in business development and/or the generation of new business opportunities in a tertiary environment
- Experience within, or demonstrated understanding of, the legal profession is highly regarded
