As a Web and Digital Senior Officer, you will:
- Create, edit and publish engaging web content that supports student experience initiatives and aligns with Deakin’s digital and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with the Digital Content Editor and related teams on site-wide initiatives.
- Coordinate the end-to-end process of content updates, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency across student-facing platforms.
- Liaise with faculties, divisions and service areas to source information, validate messaging and maintain current, relevant web content.
- Analyse web analytics and feedback to improve content quality and usability.
- Apply editorial and brand guidelines to ensure content quality, clarity, and alignment with tone of voice and design standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the authoring experience.
- Support user testing and content reviews to ensure site navigation and structure meet student needs.
- Maintain content within the CMS, including tagging, metadata, and archiving, to support findability and compliance.
- Assist in documenting content processes, templates, and style guidance for use by authors across the university.
 
To be successful, you’ll have: 
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Skilled in web content creation with a strong focus on accessibility, usability, information architecture, and writing for digital platforms. Proficient in SEO and content management systems.
- Experienced in crafting compelling advertising messages across diverse media channels including social, display. Applies best practice creative strategies tailored to each channel.
- Knowledgeable in responsive and interface design, user experience principles, and style guide application across tone, copy, audio, visual, and video to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
