As a Digital Content Producer, you will:

  • Plan and manage large-scale content projects, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful content for campaigns and marketing initiatives. 
  • Work with a team of technical experts to create engaging digital and multimedia content that supports faculty research, ensuring alignment with Deakin’s research brand and strategic objectives. 
  • Oversee the full content lifecycle - from concept development to publishing, across platforms including paid campaigns, websites, social media, blogs, and print. 
  • Collaborate with internal faculty members and external partners to gather accurate information, validate messaging, and ensure content reflects research impact and excellence. 
  • Lead promotional activities such as digital campaigns, videos, flyers, and other collateral to enhance visibility and engagement for research events and initiatives.

In a typical day/week, you will:

  • Break down complex information into clear, logical insights and communicate next steps in a way that’s easy for others to understand.
  • Leverage diverse perspectives and innovation principles to challenge existing processes and identify smarter, more effective ways of working.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, actively seek feedback, and use it to grow and improve performance.
  • Identify when change is needed, communicate it effectively, and implement solutions that are creative, inclusive, and outcome focused.
  • Foster a positive team culture by providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and promoting emotional wellbeing and customer responsiveness.                                                                                                                        

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A degree with relevant experience, or a strong background in marketing, journalism, media, PR, or advertising through education and/or hands-on roles.
  • Proven ability to develop, review, and enhance impactful multimedia content (video, written, audio, visual) for campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Background as a copywriter or multimedia content producer in a large organisation or digital agency, with a strong grasp of channel-specific creative best practices.
  • Skilled in managing large-scale content projects, balancing priorities, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience managing social media channels and applying strategic, audience-focused content across platforms.
