We are seeking a Coordinator to work in our Outbound Deakin Abroad team to support students who are seeking to study abroad. You will provide administrative support for everyday adventures by ensuring smooth operation, development, promotion, and delivery of all learning abroad programs including internships and social impact programs.

 

As a Coordinator you will:

  • Implement strategies to promote positive emotional well-being across the team and regularly reflect on own behaviour.
  • Investigate and probe for the facts and identify relevant solutions and select the most appropriate from the range of alternatives.
  • Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds practical ways to deal with them and evaluates progress.
  • Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of potential students, stakeholders or key and influential individuals both inside and outside the University.
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in an outbound environment with an attitude to convert enquiries to confirmed positions (application, enrolment and participation).
  • Experience in both sales and customer service provision, including high-level interpersonal skills, the ability to master content knowledge across a broad range of course and policy areas, and the ability to respond to people confidently, positively, and with respect while maintaining confidentiality when required.
  • Ability to deliver a duty of care towards students on learning abroad programs.
