The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered nurse with a passion for aged care to join our Residential Facility at St George Care Centre in Bayswater. The position is being offered as a fixed-term contract working 76 hours a fortnight, until 15th of June 2025.

Roster

Week 1 & 2

Tuesday 0700-1515

Wednesday 0700-1515 

Thursday 0700-1515

Friday 0700-1515

Saturday 0700-1515   

Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive reviews of residents through clinical assessments
• Safely administer medication to residents
• Falls management and prevention
• Complete documentation for residents ensuring accurate care planning and relevant supporting documents 
• Supervise the delivery of care plans on a daily basis
• Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring to the care staff
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with Aged Care Standards and Risk Management

About You

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, which are crucial for excelling in this role. A genuine passion for supporting residents and collaborating with your team is essential. As a clinical leader, you will leverage your clinical expertise to guide your team towards achieving outstanding care outcomes. Your alignment with the Quality of Care Principles will enable you to effectively support, educate, and mentor your team, ensuring high standards of care and continuous improvement. 

Essential Criteria:

• Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Knowledge of the resident classification scale, accreditation and continuous improvement
• NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to attend 2 days paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
