THE ROLE

The Senior Accounts Receivable Officer is a key member of the finance team, responsible for billing, records management, resident and client account related queries and overall debtor management. The role will also involve providing assistance in implementation of new AR related systems, reporting for external audits, prudential reporting and providing support to the broader finance team to meet month end closing deadlines.

 

This role is offered on a permanent full time basis.



 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality invoicing, billing and direct debit payments
  • Oversight of CDC exits, refunds or transfers to another provider within prescribed time frames
  • Address client and resident account related queries
  • Authorise Admissions, discharges and send online to Medicare
  • Monitor dashboard if admissions and discharges are successfully accepted and if not, rectify and resubmit
  • Actioning Medicare reviews, ITF and MTCF adjustment and liaison with Services Australia, Debtor management and assist with debt collection activities
  • Any other tasks relating the Accounts Receivable function as assigned
  • Mentors the Accounts Receivable Officers
  • Provides support for internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU 

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer with strong experience in processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence when dealing  with client and residential accounts. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytic skills for data review, reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. A proactive approach to identifying process improvement is essential, along with the ability to support system enhancements that drive business efficiency. 

Competencies & Behaviours

  • Professional presentation and proactive attitude.
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role.
  • A good understanding of the Aged Care funding principles (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to contribute to ongoing process improvement.
  • Customer service and complaint resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, applying innovative solutions whilst working within the organisation’s policies, procedures, and values

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
