The Role

An Enrolled Nurse in aged care plays a vital role in providing quality nursing support and personalised care to elderly residents. They assist with daily living activities and health monitoring, working collaboratively with the broader healthcare team to promote residents' comfort, safety, and overall well-being. Their responsibilities include following individualised care plans and upholding best practice standards at all times.

This role is being offered on a Part time basis working 54 hours per fortnight with shifts from 3:00pm to 10:15pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday working from our Lady McCusker Home in Duncraig.

Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered.

Key responsibilities:

• Implements those aspects of the nursing care plan delegated by the registered nurse
• Contributes to the nursing assessment of individuals and groups
• Assists in the evaluation of progress toward expected outcomes
• Assists in protecting the rights of older persons
• Demonstrates successful interpersonal skills in relating to Residents, Families, Staff and other Health Professionals
• Develop effective communication, team building and accountability strategies at assist in leading, motivating, supporting and managing the team

About you

As an Enrolled Nurse, you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. You contribute to a strong, professional team culture by fostering open communication and creating a positive, supportive environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
• Diploma in Enrolled Nursing
• Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
• NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
• Willing to attend a compulsory 2-day (Monday & Tuesday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
• Experience working within Aged Care (Desirable)
