The Role

The role of a Registered Nurse is to deliver safe, high-quality clinical care through assessment, care planning and medication management while providing clinical leadership and support to the care team to ensure positive outcomes for residents.

This role is offered on a casual basis working form our Lefroy Care Centre (Bull Creek) and Peter Arney Home (Salter Point)

Shifts Available: AM, PM and NIGHTS. Please note you must be available to work 4 weekday shifts per fortnight. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive reviews of residents through clinical assessments
  • Safely administer medication to residents
  • Falls management and prevention
  • Complete documentation for residents ensuring accurate care planning and relevant supporting documents 
  • Supervise the delivery of care plans on a daily basis
  • Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring to the care staff
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with Aged Care Standards and Risk Management

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Bachelors of Nursing 
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
  • Knowledge of the resident classification scale, accreditation and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to attend 2 days paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
  • Sensitivity to provide personal care to another person(s)
  • Drivers Licence
