Amana Living is seeking a dedicated Chaplain to provide compassionate pastoral, liturgical, and spiritual care to residents, clients, families, volunteers, and staff. This role plays a vital part in supporting the holistic wellbeing of individuals, offering person-centred care that is inclusive, culturally relevant, and age-appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual guidance, supporting residents and clients in exploring faith, spirituality, ageing, and end-of-life matters
- Facilitate access to representatives of various religious and faith traditions upon request
- Deliver person-centred pastoral care, respecting all beliefs and customs
- Lead regular worship services and special ceremonies, including memorial services and ANZAC Day commemorations
- Collaborate with staff to ensure holistic care that addresses spiritual wellbeing
- Complete spiritual assessments for all residents and maintain accurate records
- Participate in Chaplaincy Team meetings and professional development initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Theological education with ministry experience (chaplaincy experience preferred)
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent training
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and inclusive approach
- Evidence of support from senior leadership within your faith community
- National Police Clearance Certificate (within the last six months) and NDIS Worker’s Screening Check
- Proof of current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations in line with Amana Living policies
- Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
