Safeguarding Support Coordinator

Full Time, Ongoing (1.0 FTE)

At Catholic Education Tasmania, we support 39 schools and more than 17,000 students across the state. Our team of over 100 professionals at the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office work together to strengthen learning, wellbeing and organisational excellence across our education community.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised, professional and compassionate Safeguarding Support Coordinator to provide critical administrative and operational support to our Safeguarding Team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll coordinate the intake and monitoring of safeguarding matters, maintain compliance records and reporting systems, support investigations and reviews, and contribute to the ongoing development of child-safe practices across Catholic Education Tasmania.

What You'll Bring

You are a proactive and trusted professional who can manage sensitive information with discretion and care. You thrive in complex environments, have exceptional organisational skills and are committed to safeguarding children and young people.

You'll demonstrate:

  • Experience in high-level administration, coordination or case management support
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record management skills
  • Confidence managing confidential and sensitive information
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • An understanding of child safety, safeguarding principles and legislative obligations (highly regarded)
