About the Role

Our Career Medical Officer is responsible for managing the acute clinical care of patients and assisting in the provision of an efficient, safe and professional medical service to all patients in the Hospital under the direction of Specialists/Visiting Medical Officers (VMO’s).

This position will work across all areas of the hospital and provide support to Visiting Medical Officers in the provision of inpatient care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong clinical skillset with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of patients across our facility including medical, surgical, rehabilitation and Mental Health patients.

The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts are also required.

You will also bring:

• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 3 years Australian clinical experience
• Hold appropriate Visa/Residency status to work in Australia
• Resuscitation skills including BLS, ALS and airway support skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
