About the Role
- You will provide effective leadership, deliver high-quality care, and be great at building relationships with all key stakeholders.
- You will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring the team and ensuring optimal outcomes for all patients.
- You will implement best practice trauma informed care in conjunction with the leadership team with focus on continuous improvement across all areas of women’s mental health
- You will provide input into change management processes to ensure that there is a continuous positive future for the clinic.
- You will work closely with a passionate leadership team who are dedicated to investing in the development of all staff. The key focus is ensuring ongoing education and support is provided across our teams.
- You will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the Nursing Unit.
- The role encompasses planning, implementing, and evaluating all nursing practices, processes and clinical services of the Unit.
About You
You will bring a keen eye for succession planning and training of clinical staff, financial and material resources along with the capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor.
This role will suit either an experienced clinical manager or a senior nurse looking to take the step into Unit Management.
You will also bring:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Mental Health nursing, minimum 2 years
- A passion for trauma-informed care
- Effective communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, positive and professional approach
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement / risk management program
Desirable:
- Sound computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel
- Previous experience in a management position desirable
- Holding or working towards a tertiary management qualification desirable
- Post graduate studies in an appropriate specialty area desirable
- Have solid insights and training in the impacts of working with psychological trauma
Remuneration
Nurse Unit Manager: $64.56 - $69.45 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
