Chef

Permanent full-time opportunity at Mt Wilga Private Hospital.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Chef to join our vibrant and friendly catering team!

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for food preparation for patients and staff, ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production and cleanliness within the department in line with required Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policies.

Supported by the Catering Team and Catering Manager you will:

• Ensure all meals are presented in appropriate proportions and according to the menu requests
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Assist in ordering of all food stock, ingredients, supplies and equipment.

About You

You will act as a positive role model while demonstrating an ability to foster a culture that is positive, friendly, cooperative and forward thinking.

You will also demonstrate:

• Certificate in Commercial Cooking
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef
• Ability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
• Commitment to excellence in preparation and supply of food services
• Commitment to excellence in hygiene standards
• Previous healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded although not essential

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $29.30 - $29.87 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
