A wonderful opportunity exists for a proactive and professional Supply Officer to join our Stores and Supply team at Waverley Private Hospital.

 

About the Role

As a Supply Officer, your role will support our Stores and Supply team and contribute to maintaining an effective and efficient supply service.

This role’s key focus will be on the receiving and issuing of medical, non-medical consumables and other agreed items.

 

This will involve, but is not limited to;

  • Organising and general housekeeping of the store, including building and dismantling racks, numbering racks and shelves and setting up bin locations
  • Managing the receipt of goods using our SAP computer system, which will involve receipting and approving of supplier invoices, ensuring prices, charges and quantities are correct
  • Issuing materials from store; preparing items / goods for departments
  • Stocktake and inventory management to ensure adequate supply of spare parts and consumables.

 

About You

Your excellent problem solving and analytical skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks to achieve deadlines is essential for this role.

 

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a service focused busy supply environment
  • Experience with complex stock control issues with a computerised inventory system
  • Experience in minimum / maximum stock control principles
  • Ability to use and operate stores equipment, motorised pallet trucks
  • Proven skill in working in a highly organised and systematic manner in a supply environment.
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Computer literacy skills – Microsoft Office / Windows environment
  • Proven ability to providing an efficient, helpful and friendly service to customers
  • Ability to use initiative, self-motivation, work as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Candidates who have experience with SAP, or similar materials management computer systems and who have had experience working in a Healthcare sector will be highly regarded.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
