About the role

An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with strong managerial and leadership qualities to lead a professional anaesthetic team. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department to ensure improved patient outcomes. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. The position is accountable for the efficient and effective management of staff within the department.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong anaesthetic clinical skillset in a hospital setting either as a Clinical/Nursing Manager in a similar department or as a senior nurse wanting to step into a management role.

You will have exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent client care and customer service.

Essential criteria.

  • Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ post graduate nursing experience in a perioperative anaesthetic environment
  • Proven knowledge as a Senior nurse or Manager in a similar department or ward will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
  • Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
