The Opportunity
Our team of Ward Secretaries are the welcoming face on the hospital wards and are the first point of contact for families and visitors. We are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and strive to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
In this role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and be actively involved in providing administration services within the ward, along with understanding and overseeing all daily duty requirements in these service delivery areas.
Your Key Skills and Experience
- Strong keyboard and computer skills using MS Office
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
Candidates who meet the following criteria will be highly regarded:
- Prior experience working in a hospital or medical practice setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with the Meditech System
- Understanding and/or experience in speciality area’s inpatient and out-patient Rehab, ICU and general Med/Surg Ward reception.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $29.78 $32.60+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD clerical Gr2 Year1-6)

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
