About the Role

We have an exciting opening for experienced and professional Admission Secretary to join our Patient Admission team within the Day of Surgery Lounge and Gastroenterology and Minor Procedures Unit.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering a superior level of customer service to patients, visitors and internal clients.
  • Addressing patient and doctor inquiries
  • Handling all administrative tasks related to patient admissions and discharges

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a well-presented individual who possesses highly developed communication skills, is flexible and excels in a multi-disciplined team environment.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain good working relations with others.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous experience in booking medical/surgical admissions and procedures highly desirable

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $32.44 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (QLD Clerk Grade 3 Yr 1 - QLD Clerk Grade 3 Yr 2)

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
