The Opportunity
This role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing and secure data solutions for Ramsay Health Care, Australia. This role must engage and work closely with a variety of business and IT stakeholders to elicit requirements and advise on the best approach to meet those requirements. Building trust and being able to clearly communicate complex, or technical concepts to a variety of audiences from technical and non-technical backgrounds is critical to the success of this role.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a data engineer or related role.
- Highly proficient in data modelling and data analysis.
- Expert in designing and implementing data solutions and ETL processes to meet business requirements.
- Expert in relational databases, and data warehousing.
- Advanced SQL and SSIS skills.
- High degree of knowledge in data structures and data architecture.
- Experience working in DevOps and Agile environments, as well as continuous integration.
- Experience working with highly sensitive data.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
- Well versed in the latest trends and techniques for building data pipelines for analytical/machine learning solutions.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, design and problem-solving skills within a complex IT environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability in writing detailed and accurate technical documentation
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence
- Exceptional IT and computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Desirable
- Previous experience in the health care sector and working with confidential / private health data.
- Proficiency in utilising source code management systems.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
- Technical industry certification in data engineering.
