About the Role
As a Patient Services Attendant you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hospital. This includes cleaning of patient rooms, facility cleaning & cleaning in clinical areas. Patient Services also includes patient transport, equipment movement, pharmaceutical & pathology runs. The department also manages the environmental waste streams. As a large department we also cover staffing shortfalls in other areas like day surgery, endoscopy, theatre patient transport, angiography, supply & catering.
Reporting to the Support Services Operations Coordinator, you will work cooperatively and collaboratively with all members of the team, ensuring the safety of yourself, customers and staff is maintained and adhered to at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to prioritise your workload so that tasks are completed effectively, to a high standard, safely and in a timely manner. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will assist in providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers are treated with respect and equality at all times.
You will also bring:
- Previous cleaning experience in a hospital, café, restaurant, office, hotel etc. an advantage
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
