The Opportunity
We are seeking a Team Leader to manage and support our Practice Managed Suites at Southern Highlands Private Hospital. Our receptionist and medical administration staff are pivotal to the success of our Practice Managed Suites and the positive experience for our patients. In this role you will lead this team ensuring outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Your key accountabilities in this role will include (but not limited to):
- Ensure all doctors accounts are paid and claimed correctly and assist with chasing up any outstanding claims or amending any rejected claims.
- Develop and maintain the practice policies and procedures.
- Ensure consumables and equipment are kept stocked and maintained at sufficient levels and report to Manager when replacement or additional equipment is needed.
- Assist with any accreditation compliance and implementation.
- Oversee day-to-day practice operations.
- Assist the Manager to coordinate staff employment and rosters, including annual leave cover.
- Conduct regular staff training, meetings and assist Manager with appraisals.
- Develop relationships with Doctors and Registrars that attend the Practice.
- Look for way to improve the Practice through operations or introducing additional doctors.

You are a proactive and people focused leader with strong communication and customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and ensuring seamless operations. Your ability to motivate and support your team will see you succeed in this dynamic leadership role.
You will also demonstrate:
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a health care environment
- Knowledge of all practice systems used
- A detailed knowledge of MBS and Medicare requirements
- Understanding of Medical terminology
- Experience using Meditech or similar patient administration software highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage individuals and work groups/Rosters for a large team
- Willingness to learn and ability to adapt to changes
- Ability to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders
- An understanding in General Practice accreditation and standards.
