 About the Role

Joining our team as a Patient Care Assistant, you will provide support and assistance to the wards and greater hospital, including theatres, and will involve:

Contributing to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners, your role will involve but is not limited to.

  • Transport of patients from and to various locations throughout hospital.
  • Assist with patient manual handling with the use of aides.
  • Porter’s patients, including to the mortuary if required.
  • Assist with response to emergencies.
  • Assist with pre-operative patient shaves.
  • Cleans areas and equipment as required within the hospital.
  • Carries out other duties as directed by the Patient Transport Manager and after-hours hospital co-ordinator.

 Essential Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
