The Opportunity
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our broader New South Wales People team, supporting Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to shape workforce strategies, champion best-practice HR, and deliver high-quality generalist support. In addition to Lake Macquarie, you’ll provide guidance and influence across a diverse portfolio including Warners Bay, Berkeley Vale, Port Macquarie, Baringa, Tamworth, Armidale, Surgical Centre Ballina, and Charlestown. This broad role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of leaders and make a meaningful impact across multiple hospital sites.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert advice and support to managers on performance management, complex case management, and strategic HR matters.
- Lead the delivery of local, state, and national HR projects, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Facilitate training and coaching to build leadership capability and ensure compliance with HR legislation and best practice.
- Lead cultural transformation and organisational development initiatives to enhance workplace culture and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention strategies to optimise talent outcomes.
- Support industrial relations matters, including negotiations and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative frameworks.
What You’ll Need

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior HR or Industrial Relations roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Proven capability in managing complex cases, industrial relations matters, and leading cultural change initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A strategic approach with demonstrated ability to coach, guide, and support leaders in driving business outcomes.

Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, a 187-bed acute medical and surgical facility at Gateshead, is 15 km south of Newcastle CBD. It is connected by an overhead walkway to the Lake Macquarie Specialist Centre, offering on-site Radiology, Pathology, and specialist medical consulting suites.
