About the Role
Are you an experienced hospital administrator ready to take the next step in your career? Warringal Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated Ward Clerk Team Leader to oversee operations and support our inpatient wards. This is a full-time leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about patient care.

As a key member of our administration team, you will play a central role in creating a positive experience for patients and their families from the moment they arrive. You’ll manage critical processes such as admissions, pre-admissions, and billing, while also leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service every step of the way.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ward clerk team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • To act as a resource person/subject matter expert in relation to systems.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to patients, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to support seamless patient journeys.

 

About You
You are a natural communicator and team leader who brings empathy, organisation, and professionalism to everything you do. You excel at managing multiple priorities, remain calm under pressure, and are committed to delivering a high standard of administrative support in a hospital setting.

You will also bring:

  • Proven experience in hospital or medical administration.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Confidence working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with Patient Management Systems (desirable).

Highly Regarded:

  • Certificate in Medical Terminology.
  • Experience using hospital mainframe systems.

Requirements
