Senior Occupational Therapist – Emergency Department

Maximum Term Part Time 0.7 FTE (including Saturday)

Exciting and challenging opportunities have become available for motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our team at Joondalup Health Campus.

 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Care Coordination Team (CCT) based in ED. Joondalup Health Campus operates one of the busiest emergency departments in the state dealing with a wide variety of presentations. The OT role is to facilitate safe patient discharge from ED and initiate comprehensive care for admitted patients. The CCT is well established and offers a supportive environment and opportunities for ongoing professional development. The successful applicant will need to be available for ongoing rostered evening and weekend shifts, and may be required to work on inpatient wards as required.

 

About You (Selection Criteria)

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following selection criteria:

  • Extensive post-graduate experience in clinically relevant areas, with a minimum of 2 years in an acute medical/ emergency department setting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families, and caregivers.
