Permanent part-time opportunity of 15hrs a fortnight is now available for a flexible, highly organised and enthusiastic Front Officer Supervisor to join our administrative team.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be contracted on a part-time basis, covering a 24/7 rotating roster across multiple administration departments, including Accident & Emergency & Front Reception. We are encouraging applicants with significant clerical experience to apply for this position.
This is a key leadership position which will see the successful candidate:
- Provide training, support, assistance and leadership to administrative staff.
- Willingness and ability to jump into admin roles where required.
- Act as a resource person.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff.
- Assist with preparation of rosters, manage sick calls and help ensure effective use of staff resources to meet KPI’s.
- Action management tasks and responsibilities including daily statistic reporting
- Ensure a high level of customer service and confidentiality is maintained in the unit.
- Encourage a supportive and positive team environment.
- Coordinating with a large and friendly clinical staff team to ensure a smooth patience experience.
- Precise data entry using multiple computer systems to ensure patient information is updated accurately.
- Adapting and being flexible to assist other areas of the business as needed, including attending the Front Reception and Emergency Reception, or addressing Patient Services inquiries.
- Assist with Coordinator duties and provide leave cover as required
About You
You are a proactive and people focused leader with strong communication and customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and ensuring seamless operations. Your ability to motivate and support your team will see you succeed in this dynamic leadership role.
You will also demonstrate:
- Ability to manage a team, preferably within a health care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage individuals and work groups/Rosters for a large team.
- Willingness to learn and ability to adapt to changes.
- Ability to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Understanding of Medical terminology.
- Experience using Meditech or similar patient administration software highly desirable.
- Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster is essential (including overnight shifts)
