The Opportunity
We are seeking Nurse Educator to support our Dudley Private Hospital Team. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be delivering education across multiple specialties include general medical, surgical and rehabilitation the primary deliverables of care by the hospital. You will also have opportunities to work across the specialties of theatres and mental health. You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.
You will be required to:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in all hospital specialties where required
- Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility.
- Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience within a hospital setting
- Experience in medical, surgical and rehabilitation specialties
- Understanding of theatre procedures and mental health nursing
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
- Team leading experience
- Possess excellent time management skills and well development clinical problem-solving skills
- A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
