Cairns Private Hospital is offering multiple opportunities for passionate and experienced nurses to join our dynamic Perioperative team. As a Scrub Nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, supported by a dedicated educator who will provide ongoing access to training and professional development.
About the Role
You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality perioperative care, working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Your focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork will contribute to our reputation for outstanding healthcare.
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-level clinical support as part of the surgical team.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during perioperative procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other nursing professionals.
- Contribute to a strong team environment that values respect, empathy, and excellence.
- Access ongoing education and development through our in-house educator.
About You
You are a motivated, adaptable nurse who thrives under pressure and works effectively within a team. Your clinical expertise, communication skills, and patient-first mindset make you a valued member of any operating theatre.
You will also bring:
- Relevant current registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum 3 years Scrubbing experience in various specialty.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standard of customer service.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).
