We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our Day of Surgery Lounge team. This leadership role offers the chance to further develop your expertise, mentor others, and progress towards a management position – all within a supportive and professional environment.
The Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse, you will act as a clinical and professional resource, providing advanced nursing care and problem-solving within the perioperative setting. You will also play an integral role in educating and supporting graduates and novice staff, contributing to department orientation, in-service training, and clinical development programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in the Day of Surgery Lounge.
- Providing support, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff.
- Participating in staff orientation, in-service sessions, and clinical education initiatives.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to maintain the department’s high standards of care and professionalism.
The ability to work a rotating roster, including afternoon and evening shifts, is essential.
Your Skills and Experience
- Minimum three (3) years post-graduate clinical experience.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with a passion for supporting team growth.
- Commitment to acting as a positive role model and upholding professional standards.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant perioperative specialty (highly regarded).
Remuneration: On offer is base $52.86 - $56.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4) [$104,451.36 - $112,296.08].
