  • Joondalup Health Campus is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and professional Staff Development Nurse to join D0 Rehabilitation & Aged Care Public .
  • This is a permanent part time opportunity to work a minimum of 28 hours per fortnight.
 
About the Role
 
This role contributes to and participates in the education of all clinical staff by being involved but not limited to  departmental/hospital orientation, in-servicing and clinical competence programs
 
  • Liaison with the T&D Manager /Clinical Manager regarding educational needs of their staff
  • The Staff Development Nurse will also make a valuable contribution to the hospital Quality Improvement process.

 

About You
 
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting with clinical and professional experience working in Rehabilitation & Aged Care.  
 
Your ability to both objectively evaluate and assess learning needs and learning outcomes, and manage situations using advanced problem solving and clinical decision making is essential for this role.

  • Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated post registration and extensive experience in Rehabilitation & Aged Care nursing
  • Be proficient in all clinical skills relevant to the chosen field and demonstrate competency in hospital specific competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings
  • Knowledge of methods of assisting and facilitating learning
  • High level interpersonal and (written and verbal) communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Positive attitude to change management including a demonstrated professional approach
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Sound computer literacy in all Microsoft programs
 
Candidates who have completed a preceptor program and are Basic life support/Manual handling & medication assessors will be highly regarded.
