- You will be providing clinical support as Senior Occupational Therapist in the Inpatient Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation setting at Joondalup Health Campus.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with demonstrated advanced clinical skills in acute/ subacute stroke and neurological rehabilitation, to provide evidence-based assessments and interventions aligned with best practice guidelines. The successful candidate will provide leadership within their clinical area and supervise the OT stroke team including P1 OT, OTA and students.
This role requires a strong understanding of stroke rehabilitation model of care together with excellent organisational skills.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with minimum 3 years proven experience in stroke rehabilitation, preferably in an acute setting. Your capacity to lead and mentor a team, along with your ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with patients, staff and stakeholders is essential.

To be successful in this role you will need to address the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice in stroke and neurological rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify clinically appropriate interventions within this clinical speciality and implement evidence-based practice into service development.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the multidisciplinary team, service providers, external agencies, patients, families and caregivers.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience in NDIS processes
- Experience with quality improvement and/or research projects.
