The Opportunity
We are seeking a Quality and Risk Manager to join our team at Albury Wodonga Private Hospital. This role plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring positive business outcomes while minimising potential risks within our hospital. Reporting to the Direct of Clinical Services you will align yourself with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implements, and monitors quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify and address potential risks across the hospital.
- Conduct thorough analyses of hospital processes and outcomes.
- Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Oversee compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate staff education on risk management practices.
- Serve as a resource for resolving quality-related issues.
- Establish and uphold effective quality assurance protocols

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident, self-directed individual with a high level of skill and knowledge in all aspect of hospital governance.
- Relevant clinical qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health
- Minimum of 5 years in an acute hospital setting
- Experience and competence in undertaking root cause analysis investigations
- Demonstrated effectiveness in both operational and strategic leadership in a hospital setting
- Experience and expertise in quality and patient safety role/s
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement framework/s
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft office suite and knowledge of databases such as RiskMan
