The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operating Theatre Floor Manager to join our leadership team at North Shore Private Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will support and guide our clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with best practice standards and legislative requirements.
Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager – Scrub/Scout, you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating the smooth and efficient running of operating theatre sessions.
- Coordinating the continuum of care related to surgical and anaesthetic interventions.
- Ensuring optimal surgical outcomes through effective team collaboration and resource management.
- Promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement within the perioperative environment.
- Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
- Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
- Provide clinical support and care to our patients in our operating theatres
- Be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources

Skills and Experience
- Relevant registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in a perioperative setting
- Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
- Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
- WHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources
