We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Services Unit at The Avenue Private Hospital in Windsor as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Orthopaedics).
This is a permanent Full-Time role.
About the Role
The Avenue Hospital provides an extensive range of services that are readily accessible for both the local community and as a referral centre from across Melbourne, Regional Victoria and Interstate. In this role you will be joining our perioperative services team working across 11 operating theatres.
This role will suit an experienced Orthopaedic Nurse with training or mentorship experience to step into a key support role in the department.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will act as a clinical and professional resource person demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of caring for patients in a perioperative setting. You will contribute to the education of clinical staff and make a valuable contribution to the continuous improvement processes of the hospital. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively and consult with doctors and nurses to ensure the best practice and patient outcomes are achieved.
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse with extensive specialty orthopaedic experience. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will bring a passion for training and capacity building within your team and the ability act as a passionate mentor to junior staff.
The capability to work across a rotating roster including weekends and nights is essential to this role.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Extensive proven experience as a Nurse in an acute care setting with proven orthopaedic specialty experience is essential.
- Clinical leadership/training experience will be highly regarded.
- Willingness to contribute and participate in the education of all levels of staff.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or working towards (highly desirable though not essential)
On offer is an annual salary of $87467.12+ Superannuation
