About the Opportunity
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational management of the GE/DPU team which will include supporting rostering, driving staff development and providing support to clinical staff whilst ensuring a high standard of clinical practice is maintained. This is a hands-on role leading from the front.
This position holds a key leadership function and will see you report and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve organisational goals.
Your Skills and Experience
You will bring extensive clinical skills and experience within GE/DPU. While leadership or management experience within a clinical setting will be highly desirable, this role will also suit an experienced Nurse looking to step up into a leadership position.
You will need to bring a high standard of organisational skills to effectively coordinate the time, human and financial resources of theatres while bringing excellent interpersonal and communications skills. You will be a passionate mentor to your team and have the capacity to inspire them to succeed. You will also bring;
- Minimum five (5) years post-grad clinical experience.
- Relevant registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Proven ability to act as a positive role model and as a professional at all times.
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program.
- Holding or working towards a tertiary management qualification along with post-graduate qualifications in the appropriate specialty areas will be highly desirable.
