Permanent Part-time / Full Time opportunity
We are seeking a 2nd In Charge / Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the leadership team in our busy Surgical/Rehabilitation Team at Nowra Private Hospital.
About the Role
In this role you will be direct support to the Nurse Unit Manager of our Surgical and Rehabilitation Ward and will assist to ensure efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the ward. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services of the unit.
You will also facilitate the smooth running of the department, coordinating the continuum of care for patients in order to provide an optimal clinical outcome.
You will supported by a passionate team of skilled nurses while reporting to and utilising the mentorship of the Nurse Unit Manager.
This role will suit both an experienced clinical manager or a senior nurse looking to step into unit leadership.
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical leadership skillset and will hold a passion for client care and customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor while effectively assisting the NUM with managing the department needs
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- 5 years minimum relevant experience as a Nurse in an acute setting
- Recent acute surgical experience essential
- Previous in charge / team leader experience
- HDU skills
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded
- Effective time management skills
