Private Practice receptionist - Permanent Part-time 

Tuesday - Friday (34 hours per week over 4 days)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Private Practice Receptionist to join us at North Shore Private Hospital

About the role:

  • Greeting patients, answering patient calls, booking appointments and answering patient queries
  • Assisting patients with billing queries
  • Providing professional and courteous communication to patients and medical professionals

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service. The ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of incoming and outgoing patients is a key skill needed for this role. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators and non-clinical staff.

  • Must be patient, considerate and empathetic
  • Ability to multitask as there is a high volume of patients and phone calls
  • Excellent communication skills with great attention to detail

You will also bring:

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Proven Experience in medical administration, ideally within a hospital.
  • Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment
  • Experience with Patient Management Systems will be essential
  • Previous billing experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Eftpos preferred 
  • Flexibility and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Certificate in Medical Terminology (Desirable)
